This fun-filled gathering, reinforces the effort to bring awareness and contributions to the V Foundation for Cancer Research. Click here to read about Bob Cairns’ relationship with the V Foundation for Cancer Research.

This site, featuring Benchwarmer Memories, as well as Notables’ Benchwarmer Memories, also offers a blurb from his new novel Dear Coach/Dear Benchie: “Memories of a Chase to a Basketball Championship.”

Cairns, a “legendary” three-sport benchwarmer, encourages his fellow warmers to drop him their personal memories. The stories can feature the contributor or other benchies.

Benchwarmers may have spent entire seasons/careers waiting in vain for the coach to look down at the team’s unique gathering of sub choices and say, “Hey, quit jacking around down there. You’re in for Smith!”

Now, Coach Cairns is calling.
